in the Alhambra

To celebrate the Christmas holidays, Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife (PAG) has organised a series of story-telling sessions and puppet shows, to be held in the Alhambra Book & Gift Shop (40 Reyes Católicos, Granada).
The 90-minute sessions are aimed at children aged 3 to 8, and are free of charge. The story telling sessions (places limited) will be held at 6.30 pm on 23 and 30 December 2011 and 3 and 5 January 2012.

Granadan-Arab cuisine
Also scheduled for the holiday period is a workshop on Granadan-Arab cuisine. On 29 December from 6 pm to 8 pm, Ana María Prieto, author of cookbooks Las recetas de mama and Dulces and Postres, will show how to make a typical Arab dessert, also in the Alhambra Book & Gift Shop.

The Alhambra in Poetry
 
Lastly, on Thursday 29 December, at 7 pm, the Alhambra Book & Gift Shop will host a book signing by teacher and poet José Carlos Rosales, compiler of the 100 poems contained in the anthology Memoria poética de la Alhambra.
