Itineraries

On the occasion of the forthcoming restoration of the Gate of Justice and of the restoration work that is due to begin on the East Facade of the Palace of Charles V, the itinerary of the public visits will be adapted as follows:

• Restoration of the Gate of Justice: 

The outer facade of the Gate of Justice is going to be restored and the work will take about five months. Scaffolding will be erected in such a way as to enable normal public access to the Alhambra. While the scaffolding is being erected on the 25th, 26th and 27th September, access via the Gate of Justice will be closed. Once the work is finished, the Gate will be closed again for a few days while the scaffolding is being taken down. Information as to which days it will be closed will be provided nearer the time.

• Work on the East Facade of the Palace of Charles V:

This work is scheduled for 25th September to 10th October. On the 25th, 26th and 27th September and the 3rd, 4th and 7th October work will be done on the southern half and access to the Partal palace through the metal gate will take place through the East Gate of the Palace of Charles V. On the 30th September and the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th and 10th October the metal gate into the Partal will be closed. Entrance to the Partal will be through the Paseo de las Torres (Towers Walk) and the exit from the Lindaraja. The present entrance point for disabled people will remain open throughout the restoration work.
