Permanent training throughout life in humanistic, scientific and artistic issues is more and more seen as a necessity. Learning does not take place exclusively at a specific time and place. It is a rich and complex process that is nourished of everything that happens in our surroundings and is developed throughout our life.

To reach a number of social sectors, to put in contact different means of cultural expression, to disseminate the historical heritage, and to approach the population to our past is a task that the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife would like to encourage from different perspectives and areas.

Therefore, this institution starts up the educational Programme the Alhambra for the elderly. The objective is to disseminate culture as an essential social strategy for the construction of a more human and balanced world.

The program is aimed at all the educational centers for adults and universities for the elderly of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
