Summer in the Alhambra is an educational proposal for children that tries to offer enjoyable and educational activities for the school holiday period. The programme will combine guided tours around different places of the monument, with additional workshops, in which participants play the main role. Among the programmed activities are perfume elaboration, creation of tiles and others in which children will play at being architects. 

OBJECTIVES

• To promote the knowledge of the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Granada
• To learn to observe, discover and interpret the medium through different resources and working methods: Research, art expression, sensorial perception, games…
• Initiation to the historical and artistic language
• To develop curiosity, imagination and communication skills.
• Approach to the Islamic culture in Granada
• To promote the respect and the protection of the historical and cultural heritage.
• To appraise the importance of conserving and participating or collaborating in the protection of the Monument.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

Children from 7 to 14. With the purpose of adapting the activities to the level of the children, they will be grouped by ages: From 7 to 10 and 11 to 14.
