The Court of Machuca. Alhambra of Granada
Two round fountains with water flowing into a pool in the centre of the court are its main feature.
Court of Machuca
The Court of Machuca, where the architect of the Palace of Charles V worked, had a pool shaped like the Roman nymphaea. Water from various round fountains flowed into the pool.
Noteworthy is the reconstructed portico on the north side, above which a small Tower of the same name rises. There probably once was a similar portico on the south side, in the memory of which cypress trees were planted in the shape of an arch.
