Open days. Alhambra of Granada

Open days in which visits to the Monument is free for residents in Granada and province.

Open days

With the purpose of disseminating among the local people the values of their most symbolic cultural heritage, the Alhambra and the Generalife, a few days have been designated for residents, in which visits to the Monument is free for the citizens of Granada and province.

This programme is promoted with the collaboration of the Provincial Association of Tourist Guides of Granada, by means of a series of activities related to the visit to the Nasrid Palaces, the Generalife, the Medina and the Alcazaba Fortress, in which they can register upon collecting their admission ticket.

There are 500 tickets for this programme, 280 general afternoon and 220 gardens visit tickets, every Sunday of the year between 14:00 p.m  and the closing time of the monument.

Visitors can collect a maximum of five tickets per visit

Sunday evenings June, July, September and October, 3 groups of 30 people will be organised who will participate in one of the programmemed itineraries.

The rest of visitors, once completed the guided groups, can freely make the established public tour for the general admission ticket.

The starting point of the guided tours, unless otherwise specified, is in the scale models of the Entrance Pavilion. The rest of the visit, as it is made freely, may start from the entrance pavilion, the Gate Puerta de la Justicia or the Gate Puerta los Carros.

The admission tickets can be collected from the ticket office in the Entrance Pavilion, during office hours of the ticket office and with a minimum advance of 30 minutes on the time of entrance.

The schedule for this programme is:

Sundays between 14:00 and 18:00, in winter, and between 14:00 and 20:00, in summer.
