Setting

The Nasrid Alhambra was a courtly city, conceived and built to serve the royal court.
The Palatial City

The palatial city consist of six palaces and two tower-palaces, of which only the Palaces of Comares and of the Lions have been preserved.
The Generalife

The Generalife was built between the 12th and 14th Century. The palace was used by the Muslim royalty as a place of rest.

In addition to touring the Alhambra Historical-Artistic Monuments Complex, a number of complementary visits are also in order.

Museum of the Alhambra

the Museum of the Alhambra is distributed in seven halls devoted to the culture and the Spanish-Moorish art.

The collection includes drawings, paintings, watercolors, scores and correspondence of the composer.

The digitisation of its bibliographical collection facilitates its dissemination.

The Photo collection is composed by 32,000 items between photographs, plans, postcards, drawings and posters.
Archive

The Archive is managed by the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife and is part of the Andalusian System of Archives.
