Visit Granada. Individual tourism. Alhambra Granada

Visitors are recommended to purchase the admission tickets through the different channels devised by the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife for this end.

Individual tourism

The Council has restricted the number of tickets to 10 units by person and day.

The specific time of your access to the Nasrid Palaces is printed on the admission tickets. You are strongly recommended to abide by this specific access time; otherwise, you will have no access to the palaces and there will be no refund or reimbursement for the admission prices.

  • ADVANCED TICKET SALES

    Purchase of tickets:

Visitors can purchase admission tickets at any dispenser of “La Caixa” (the official Ticketmaster partner institution), online (www.alhambra-tickets.es), by calling  +34 958 92 60 31  or at the Tienda de la Alhambra on Calle Reyes Católicos nº 40, in Granada.

The acquisition of the tickets using these systems will imply an added commission, for expenses of management, currently 1,3% of the cost of entry.

    Collection of tickets:

The tickets bought in internet or by telephone can be picked up in the automatic machines of “La Caixa” using the credit card used for booking the tickets except the discount tariffs (with the exception of those under 12 years old).

Tickets can also be obtained either at the ticket vending machines located at the Alhambra Entrance Pavilion or at the Tienda de la Alhambra shop in Granada’s city centre on Calle Reyes Católicos nº 40, paying by credit card. Furthermore, visitors can collect their tickets at the on-site ticket offices, showing the reservation printout, the credit card used for the reservation or –if the reservation is under the name of the same person– an identity card or passport together with the reservation number.

    Entrance to the Monument:

If visitors have purchased their tickets at any dispenser of “La Caixa” or at the ticket vending machines located at the Tienda de la Alhambra on Calle Reyes Católicos in Granada’s city centre, they can go directly to any entrance of the site without visiting the ticket offices.

If the tickets have not been collected in these automatic machines, the access to the Monument has to be across the Access Pavilion to be able to collect the tickets in the ticket offices or in the automatic machines. Those tickets must be collected at least one hour before to the scheduled time of your visit to the Nasrid Palaces. However you are recommended to collect your tickets long before the visit due to the complexity of the Monument and the length of the tours.

  • DIRECT TICKET SALE

The day of the visit, tickets can be acquired in the ticket offices or in the automatic machines located in the Access Pavilion in the Alhambra. In this case, the price will be increased because of an added commission, for expenses of management, currently 10% of the cost of entry.

The availability is not ensured as tickets can be sold out through the other ticket sale procedures.

Tickets are only valid for the day of tickets purchase.

This kind of direct sale does not allow any changes in the day or in the time of the visit or its cancellation.

  • PAYMENT

Ticket payment can be in two different ways:

    • Cash: only at the ticket offices located in the Monument.
    • Credit card: at the automatic ticket machines located near the ticket offices. Virtual credits are not allowed and your Personal Identification Number (PIN code) is required. In this case the price will be increased because of an added commission, for expenses of management, currently 10% of the cost of entry.
