The Council has restricted the number of tickets to 10 units by person and day.
The specific time of your access to the Nasrid Palaces is printed on the admission tickets. You are strongly recommended to abide by this specific access time; otherwise, you will have no access to the palaces and there will be no refund or reimbursement for the admission prices.
Visitors are recommended to purchase the admission tickets through the different channels devised by the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife for this end.
Tickets can be bought online (www.alhambra-tickets.es) or by calling 902 888 001. Tickets bought by either of these systems will be subject to a handling charge, which is currently 1.40 euros.
Picking up tickets
Tickets purchased online or by telephone can be picked up at the cash machines (ATMs) of branches of "La Caixa" bank in Andalusia and at the automatic ticket machines at the Alhambra entrance pavilion, using the same credit card used to purchase the tickets.
Tickets can also be picked up at the Alhambra ticket offices by presenting either the printed receipt of the reservation or the credit card you used to pay for them. If the reservation is in your name you can also pick up the tickets by giving the reference number and presenting your identity document or passport.
Entrance to the Monument
If you have picked up your tickets from the cash machines at branches of La Caixa Bank, you may enter the Alhambra through any of the different entrances without having to go through the ticket offices.
If you do not pick up your tickets from these cash machines, you must enter the Monument through the entrance pavilion, so that you can pick up your tickets at the ticket offices or from the automatic ticket machines. You must pick up your tickets at least one hour before the time allocated for your visit to the Nasrid palaces. However we recommend that you pick them up earlier to allow yourself plenty of time to get to the Palaces, given the complexity of the Monument area and the relatively long distances involved.
Tickets can be bought on the same day of your visit at the ticket offices or the automatic dispensing machines in the entrance pavilion to the Alhambra. In the latter case tickets will be subject to an additional handling charge, which is currently 1.40 euros. The ticket-offices open at 8:00h everyday.
In this case there is no guarantee of availability, as tickets may sell out through the other sales channels.
These admission tickets are only valid for one day, the day on which they are purchased.
For tickets bought by direct sale the date or time of the visit cannot be changed, nor can the ticket be cancelled.
