The Alhambra is organizing guided tours of two exhibitions currently on show at the Palace of Charles V: El legado de al-Ándalus. Las antigüedades árabes en los dibujos de la Academia (The Legacy of al-Andalus. Arabic antiquities in the drawings of the Academy), in the Crypt until 26th January and Tiempo de ensoñación. Andalucía en el imaginario de Fortuny, (A time to dream. Andalusia through the eyes of Fortuny) in the Temporary Exhibition Room at the Granada Fine Arts Museum until 26th March.

All the tours are free. We will now explain how to sign up and discover curious new aspects of these two exhibition projects. The visits to the exhibition El legado de al-Andalus, curated by Antonio Almagro, the winner of the National Architecture and Conservation Prize, are on Saturdays at 11.00. Places must be booked in advance, as only a limited number are available. To book, please send an email to alhambraexpo(at)gmail.com or call us on 612 53 64 67.

The guided visits to the exhibition devoted to the painter Mariano Fortuny (1838-1874) will take place on Sundays at 11 am. The Granada Fine Arts Museum is on the upper floor of the Palace of Charles V, inside the Alhambra complex. For organizational purposes, it is necessary to book a place in advance by calling 958 575 126, by email to alhambraeduca.pag(at)juntadeandalucia.es or in person at our offices in the Corral del Carbón in Calle Mariana Pineda s/n, Granada.

The exhibition Tiempo de ensoñación. Andalucía en el imaginario de Fortuny, (A time to dream. Andalusia through the eyes of Fortuny) curated by Francesc Quilez, the conservator of drawings and engravings at the Catalonia National Art Museum (MNAC), commemorates the time Mariano Fortuny spent in Granada over 140 years ago and his fascination for the Oriental world acquired during his visits to the Alhambra.
