Nasrid society was a reflection of the layout of its cities, their topography, their growth and their role as the base of the sociocultural fabric.
We will be analysing the specific case of the city of Granada, its structure and evolution under the Nasrid Dynasty.
The importance of the city in the 13th to 15th century; its location and how that affected its people; the provisioning of the city; institutional relations; commerce and wealth; life in the city and within the family.
All of this will give us an insight into everyday life in Madinat Garnata and the forces driving Nasrid society, its importance in al-Andalus and beyond from the 13th-15th century.
