The Alhambra produces and receives information in different complex fields of a wide scope.

The Communication Department is in charge of meeting the users’ new information and documentary needs through its own sophisticated and pioneering systems which allow the department to offer effective and efficient services.

    Area addressed to general information mass media, like press, radio, television and the Internet.

    Area addressed to the public dissemination of information about the Alhambra as the main way to preserve and enrich the Monument.

Communication Department

The particular nature of the Council of the Alhambra and the Generalife and the relevance of the decisions made convert it into a very complex institution that generates and consumes a great amount of information obtained from its own services as well as from the general public, mass media, and private and public technical, social, political, cultural and economic agents.

The Communication Department is in charge of disseminating and promoting the information generated and used by the Alhambra with the aim of offering documental support to professionals, researchers and scholars.

Through this Department, documents about the administrative, technical and scientific background of the Monument can be obtained, facilitating general access to the data and fostering the development of the society of knowledge.
